Seward Johnson Grounds for Sculpture

The Seward Johnson Grounds for Sculpture is a quirky park in Hamilton, New Jersey that is 42 acres of sculptures and art. You’ll be caugh   t in between admiring both the sculptures and the scenic landscape because both are beautiful.

I came for a visit with my Tita Marigold and Tito Henry during autumn, so the place was lined with trees of green, red and gold. I felt a bit like a third wheel, but it was fun playing the photographer to my and aunt and uncle who are very much in love!

Being the quirky person that I am, it was an absolute joy that unlike many places like these, they allow people to touch and interact with some of the sculptures. Understandably there were some that were off limits, but the ones which were not made it fun already.

I did my very best Miley Cyrus wrecking ball impersonation to the embaressment of those who were passing by. I’d like to think that when one is given a chance like that, one should take it.

It was a delight to simply walk around and enjoy the different types of sculptures, which ranged from realistic people, paintings that look like they’ve come to life and modern geometric sculptures.

I’d super recommend this as a date place! Arm yourself with random snippets about different kinds of art, a lot of time and an energy to interact with your surroundings.
