Cable Car

Cable Car is  a small, intimate Beer Pong Go-To Bar at the Fort Strip, BGC. Their official hours are from 4pm to 4am, but they really close at around 2am on weekdays when there are no more customers. On weekends the place fills up really fast because people stay there to pre-game before heading out to nearby bars.

It’s pretty great for people that want a dim atmosphere in a pretty intimate space with music at just the right loudness to mask conversations you wouldn’t want to have sober. On weekdays, the place is pretty empty even until 8pm so you wont have a problem getting a table. If you’re into pulutan, their onion rings and sisig are A+!

It has a pretty nice interior with billiard tables at the second floor where you can smoke and beer pong tables outside. There are two beer pong tables at the front of the bar and you can pay to play per round.  From Sunday to Thursday, it’s Php 250/Php360 for a bucket of 5 beers and you can use the table for free.

You can choose from either San Miguel Pale Pilsen/ San Miguel Light at Php 250 per bucket or Red Horse/ San Miguel Apple/Brew Kettle at Php 360 per bucket. If you lose the ball you also have to pay Php 50!

They provide pitchers of water so your six red cups are heavy enough not to topple over when you don’t have enough beer or simply don’t want to have to wash the ping pong balls in between throws. It’s a bit hard to play in the open space because if you’re not very good you’ll have to chase the ball into the sidewalk, the parking area or into the restaurant next door.

Cable car is a pretty chill place to go unwind with your friends after a long day at work. Their regular bar menu is at normal BGC price (read: expensive), but their beer buckets are reasonable for the ambience and the chance to play beer pong.
